Mag Thanatos. My reviews on the alleged "NO ADVANCE PAYMENT" charlatanism.

I want to tell you about the new scam by fake magicians.

They lure you in with ads for love spells, love magic, etc., where the key phrase is "NO UPFRONT PAYMENT" or "PAYMENT BASED ON RESULTS" - "Love spell with no upfront payment", "Love magic with no upfront payment", "Get your loved one back with no upfront payment", and so on.
This already instills trust in the scammer, making their job easier. It would take too long to describe all the psychological tricks that engender trust in the victim of a fake magician. The essence is as follows - after trust has been established, usually after a long correspondence, it is revealed that there is a reason why you yourself will persuade the charlatan to take an upfront payment, based on the false trust created by this very "no upfront payment" promise.
For example: the charlatan tells you that they are ready to solve your problem (not all of them would agree to help) and adds you to their waiting list... for 3 - 4 months later. Needless to say, those who respond to such ads are in urgent need of the magician's help "yesterday, better yet, the day before yesterday." Attempts to get them to act earlier are rejected for a long time as unacceptable because "many others who came before also need help." However, if you do not think to persuade the scammer to take an upfront payment yourself, they will inform you that they are willing to expedite the process if you pay upfront, sharing a heart-wrenching story about how many people delay payment for months, and they (the charlatan) suffer for it (or something similar). Payment is done through online transfers, without personal contact or even a phone call.

Here is a real story shared with me by someone:
"I was lucky to avoid being scammed. When my offer to compensate for a shortened timeframe insisted upon payment upfront, or by doubling the sum (money is not an issue for me), was rejected, it raised suspicions in me, just like the proposal to make a 50% upfront payment but in person. However, it agreed and "performed" a ritual, which, of course, did not yield results, and then started talking about payment for a more complex ritual once again ("the final amount will stay the same, but the work will be tripled, just make a small upfront payment"), inserting the previously written heart-wrenching story about non-paying customers, ending with the same amusing phrase "sorry for being emotional - just had enough of it". Good emotions - a homegrown "copy-paste".

There can be many variations. The essence is - as soon as the topic of an upfront payment is broached (even if you are sure the offer is coming from you - remember, scammers are likely psychologists much better than you), immediately disregard all the enticing advantages of the "no upfront payment" trick and ponder whether you are willing to bury five gold coins in a field of wonders in the land of fools.
P.S. In particular, I can't remember on which website I saw this advertisement, but the charlatan (female charlatan) presented themselves under different names and also wrote from different email addresses. Of course, it is easy to change email addresses."

Currently, in numerous virtual conferences, various social media communities, we often come across offers from pseudo-magicians offering services such as love magic, financial help, and other magical services, with enticing conditions - "payment based on post-factum." In other words: They promise to help with payment only after results are achieved. Magical assistance with the condition of "payment based on results" is fundamentally a violation of all standard working norms of a Master for a client and, in essence, cannot be fulfilled. The tempting offer of such a service is nothing but a scam and charlatanism. Therefore, only an individual with a very indirect connection to the Occult would propose such nonsense. At best. At worst – when dealing with an ignorant, incompetent individual or one who is not quite mentally stable.

Occult practitioners understand this fact well and are always ready to warn unsuspecting citizens about such "traps." Because by falling into these "networks," people expose themselves to significant difficulties. Let me, Dear Readers, guide you more closely into the matter - what exactly is the essence of this "scam," what is the scheme of this "fraud." Presenting themselves as a Great Master and Master of the Occult, the scammer immediately agrees to help any sufferer, even without delving deeply into the essence of their problem. Simply promises to help. They announce the deadlines for resolving the situation "off the cuff." All information about the client who agrees to these conditions is entered into a so-called personal "database." After that, the pseudo-magician regularly inquires about the client's situation. If there is no change - the charlatan assures with words that everything will soon change, the magical work is being done. If after a long period of time the problem remains the same and the client has lost faith - they are simply ignored, blocked in communication, blacklisted. And they "don't bother" with them anymore.

But according to probability theory and statistics, in 20-30% of cases, people experience an improvement in their situation, normalization of it, on their own, by themselves, without anyone's intervention. This is the percentage of clients that scammers will charge for. Pseudo-magicians will happily inform you that the situation was resolved solely thanks to their "help" and intervention. They will tell clients about the supposedly insurmountable challenges they had to overcome to supposedly rescue them from trouble. Then, naturally, they will demand payment for the allegedly provided services. They will intimidate by saying that if payment is not made - everything will go wrong and become even worse than before their help. In such cases, almost all clients will pay these crooks their hard-earned money.

This is how the scheme of this "sleight of hand" looks like on the market of Occult services. And that is why gangs of swindlers, supposedly offering Magic services, continually and in large quantities, advertise their services with "payment based on post-factum." Scammers cunningly spend a considerable amount of time publishing numerous advertisements frequently. Those who genuinely need Magical assistance are easily fooled by the dirty intrigues of charlatans. As a result, they wait for months, and sometimes even years for a change in their situation for the better. The end result of this waiting game is usually disappointing. Time passes, and it cannot be turned back. Situations become more complicated with each passing day, making it increasingly difficult, and sometimes impossible, to change them. For those who seek Magical intervention and assistance, it is crucial to understand that with Magical work and Occult intervention, payment is made solely in advance, not on credit. This traditional, long-standing rule is as clear and straightforward as two plus two. As it has always been done since ancient times: You go to the Witch or Warlock, state your problem, hand over the necessary components, immediately make the payment - a bundle of money or valuables, and watch the process of solving the task with a calm mind.

Furthermore, to conduct all Occult actions, specific materials and components that are quite expensive are required. Every Magical Ritual involves certain financial expenses. And they can be quite significant. Special candles and incense, in the right quantities, herbs, items of Necromancy, sacrificial animals, other offerings to Spirits, time and effort spent on preparation for Magical operations, organizational aspects, transportation costs for delivering the necessary items to a special destination - all of these ultimately add up to quite substantial sums. No Master would ever spend their personal money on purchasing and organizing all of this for someone on credit, with promises to "pay later." Masters simply do not agree to that. Assistance is needed by the one asking for it, not the Occult Master. Therefore, the client pays for their desire and request. It is the client who should be seeking the Master's help and offering a fee, not the other way around. Practitioners of the Occult feel and live quite harmoniously and beautifully already. They do not aim for mundane worldly goals. They show compassion to those in need, helping them solve their issues. Undoubtedly, any self-respecting Master will not spend their money to rectify someone else's situation. In Magic, there is no help given just like that, or for promises; everything must be paid for, here and now, when seeking assistance. The Higher Powers want to see your will, your serious intentions demonstrated through your sacrifice, that is, payment.
