Magical herbs - Planetary alignment

The study, collection, and preparation of medicinal herbs play a very important role in Practical Magic. Therefore, I decided to show the description of the correspondences between herbs and planets. The relationships are as follows:
Fruits - Jupiter. Roots - Saturn. Flowers - Venus. Stem - Mars. Seeds and bark - Mercury. Leaves - Moon. All plants - Sun.
Saturn.
Saturn's herbs are divided into classes according to their influence and relation to the planet.
1) Plants containing poisons that cause numbness and dizziness, similar to nightshades.
2) Plants that seemingly do not have fruits.
3) Plants with roots, leaves, or fruits of black color (e.g. black fig, fir, cypress).
4) Bitter-tasting plants with a strong aroma, black hue, and equally harmful properties, such as Wild Parsley or Wild Celery.
A characteristic herb of Saturn is Hellebore (Helleborus niger from the Buttercup family). In gardens where this plant is cultivated, it is known as Christmas Rose. Helleborus fetidus, or Stinking Hellebore, can be used as a substitute if necessary.
"The first herb of Saturn is called Offoditius. Its juice is very good for relieving pain in the legs and lower back, in diseases of the bladder. The boiled root, worn around the neck, calms the frenzied and melancholic and drives evil spirits out of the house".
Jupiter.
Jupiter's herbs have a pleasant and aromatic smell, and their fruits are oily (e.g. nuts, almonds) and delicious to taste.
Trees are majestic, such as oak, or are considered lucky, like poplar, white fig, walnut, and especially olive tree.
Among herbs, Mint, Common Bugloss are mainly used in magic.
Hyoscyamus niger, the action of which is described in the writing of Albert the Great.
"The sixth herb of Jupiter, commonly called Ocharan, and by some named Bugloss. The root, applied to cuts and wounds, cleanses and eliminates inflammation, and wearing it protects against their recurrence. To treat gout, apply the root, sliced in half, especially under the Zodiac sign with feet or feet-controlled by Jupiter. A drink made from its juice with honey relieves liver pain (influenced by Jupiter). Wearing it promotes love. A person wishing to make a woman fall in love with him should wear this herb, as this will make him cheerful and pleasant".
Mars.
Mars' herbs have the following properties:
1) Become poisonous when the heat is intense (e.g. Spurge).
2) Have thorns and prickles (e.g. Nettle).
3) Cause tears when they are peeled or eaten (e.g. Onion, Mustard).
A characteristic herb of Mars is Spurge or Sun Spurge (Euphorbia), of which there are up to 700 varieties.
Albert the Great describes a herb called Ornoglose, whose properties are similar to Spurge:
"The fourth herb of Mars, Ornoglose. Its root is good for headaches, as it is believed that Aries - ruling the heads of all people - is the reason of Mars's intellect".
It is used for male genital suffering and gangrenous ulcers, if Mars is in Scorpio - a sign governing seed retention. Its juice is good for drinking to cure diarrhea, hemorrhoids, and digestive disorders.
Sun.
Sun herbs are mostly aromatic and are associated with the sun because they always turn towards the sun. There are also herbs that bloom at sunrise, such as Laurel, Peony, St. John's Wort. A characteristic herb of the Sun is Heliotrope (Heliotropium), to which Albert the Great attributes the following wonderful properties.
"Harvested in August when the Sun is in the sign of Leo, this herb has wonderful properties, as when wrapped in a laurel leaf together with a wolf's tooth and worn, it prevents harm and slander to the wearer but, on the contrary, makes others speak and think well of him. Placed under the pillow at night, you will find out thieves. If this herb is brought to a church, women who have broken their vows of fidelity to their husbands will not be able to leave until the herb is removed. This property is indisputable because it has been frequently tested".
Albert the Great provides the following description of the Knotweed herb, or Bird Buckwheat (Polygonum aviculare):
"The second herb of the Sun - Poligome, Barrigiole, or Renouce - received its name from the Sun because it grows rapidly and was called the house of the Sun by some. This herb heals heart and stomach diseases. Those who touch it acquire the properties of the planet under which they were born. If you carry its root, you will be cured of eye disease, and if worn on the stomach, it protects against madness. Additionally, it is beneficial for the lungs and free breathing. Drinking its juice will increase passion and strength for love affairs. It helps melancholics with bloody diarrhea."
Venus.
The herbs of Venus are notable for their aroma, such as Verbena, Valerian, and Venus's Hair, and the fruits dedicated to this planet are very sweet, such as pears, figs, and oranges. The rose is also dedicated to Venus, especially in experiments conducted in the morning. A typical herb of Venus can be called Verbena (herb of consecration), one of the most powerful and mysterious magical plants. (Some details about it can be found in the Magical Dictionary attached at the end of the book.) Here is what Albert the Great says:
"The seventh herb of Venus, Pisterion or, as some call it, Dove herb or Verbena. Its root, applied to the neck, heals jaundice, boils, wounds, and herpes, also helps with urinary retention, for which a plaster should be made from it and applied to the affected area. It works excellently for abrasions in the rectum and hemorrhoids. Drinking Verbena juice with honey and warm water promotes easy and free breathing. Verbena aids in sperm production, making people fall in love. Even more, if someone carries it, they become strong and powerful in marriage. If placed in the house, on the ground, or in the vineyard, it will bring a good income.
Its root is good for gardeners and vine growers, and children who carry it become well-behaved and eager learners. It cleanses homes well and removes evil spirits and demons."
Mercury.
Mercury's herbs consist of various flowers and types. In addition to the Hazelnut (shrub) and Lady’s Smock, it also includes Coltsfoot (Tussilago), Annual Coltsfoot (Meg-curialis annua). The fifth herb of Mercury is called Pottentilla, Bird Mangrove, or Five-Finger, Pedactilius, or Pentafilon, otherwise Potentilla. Its root heals wounds and lichens if applied as a plaster. Drinking its juice with water heals jaundice, as well as chest and stomach afflictions. Placing the root in the mouth stops toothache and other oral cavity diseases. If carried, it provides great assistance, even in petitions to high-ranking individuals, it makes one scholarly and helps in acquiring what you desire.
Moon.
Water plants are dedicated to the Moon, especially those highly influenced by lunar forces, such as the Palm, on which twigs grow every lunar hour, Agrippa’s herb - Chinostares, and Albert’s - Chrynostates, which increases and decreases simultaneously with the phases of the Moon. It resembles the white Lily, both in name and medicinal properties, mainly those related to the pelvis. The Water Pitcher Plant or Water Lily (Nymptiae alba) and White Lily (Lilium candidum), to which we attribute the following description from Albert the Great:
"The third herb of the Moon is called Chrynostates, its juice cleanses stomach ulcers. The flowers have a purifying effect on the kidneys and heal them. It grows and diminishes like the Moon and is very helpful for eye diseases, improving vision clarity. If the roots are crushed and placed on the eyes, it clarifies and enhances vision, as the eyes have a strong affinity with the Moon and depend on its influence. Drinking its juice aids in digesting meat and jaundice."
